Bowerbird Blues
About this excursion
Students are introduced to the world of the Satin Bowerbird through the picture book, “Bowerbird Blues” by Aura Parker, before embarking on a discovery bushwalk to study the natural habitat of the Wooglemai Bowerbird and the bower he has constructed and decorated. Students participate in a treasure hunt to find items of blue, followed by two learning activities chosen by schools to tailor this program to suit individual groups and educational focus.
